Sam Adams Boston Lager

Sam Adams Boston Lager
5.1% alc
6 x btl - LCBO $13.50
Pint - P.J. O'Brien $8.00

A pint of Sam Adams Boston Lager served in a lantern-like glass looks very interesting and attractive. It has a dark amber colour, and a thick, long lasting head. After my initial sip and gulp, I detected strong tastes of orange and hints of a woody, earthy feel. It is a very rich, hoppy, fruity lager with quite a strong and lasting aftertaste. For comparison, I would consider the Boston Lager to be a richer, hoppier version of Creemore Springs Lager, with a longer lasting head, taste and strength.

Overall -
I give Sam Adams Boston Lager 5/5. It is microbrew tasting, thirst-quenching, and long-lasting.
